Native WUXGA resolution

With a native 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, the UD740U supports a wide variety of resolutions, including 1080P. Viewers can enjoy ultra-high detailed images that are clear and easy to view.

High Brightness and Contrast

The high 4100 ANSI lumens brightness and 3000:1 contrast ratio of the UD740U ensures images that are vibrant and easy to view even in well-lit rooms. Mitsubishi Electric’s original colour wheel and BrilliantColor™ technology have been incorporated as well, for life-like colour reproduction no matter what the input source.

A Thin Client Projector with Cloud Computing Accessibility

When connected to a LAN, the UD740U allows users to remotely log in to a computer or server, then retrieve images and play them back. Using the projector as a thin client is made possible with the introduction of the LAN Display function and Remote Login feature, and it allows numerous LAN operations to be performed directly from the projector. The UD740U also functions as a terminal adaptor, enabling connection to a cloud computing network over the Internet. Applications and data can be used in the cloud environment, which helps to reduce the amount invested in school equipment. Through the use of a server, different images can be projected on several UD740U projectors simultaneously.

PC Requirements for Thin Client Operations

Server Operating System - Windows MultiPoint Server 2011; Windows Server 2008 R2

Client Operating System - Windows XP Professional; Windows Vista (Ultimate, Business, Enterprise); Windows 7 (Ultimate, Professional, Enterprise)

Remote Log-in Function

With previous models, LAN Display System required that users could only access projectors via a computer. The UD740U's Remote Login feature enables users to log in to a computer or server directly from the projector, saving time and effort.

SidePad Function*1

Used in combination with the LAN Display System, images being projected can be displayed on tablets or smartphones, and the source computer can be controlled via these devices. Users can access the source computer remotely using the tablet or smartphone for enhanced operability.

Wifi Doc*2

Wifi Doc is an application that allows data on a table or smartphone to be sent directly to the projector for viewing. Images can be accessed and displayed quickly from anywhere in the room. File formats supported are .txt, .pdf, .ppt, .xls, .doc and .jpeg.

Vertical Lens Shift

The UD740U comes with a toggle that allows the user to manually adjust the lens shift vertically for greater installation flexibility.

USB/LAN Display

The UD740U can display images from several types of source inputs including VGA, USB and LAN/Wireless LAN (W-LAN). When using the LAN connection, up to four computers can be connected to the one projector simultaneously, with the projected image divided into quarters for each computer input.

Computer Free Presentations with JPEG Viewer

Using “PtG Converter”, PowerPoint presentations can be converted into a special format and saved on a USB storage device. The USB device can then be connected directly to the projector to slideshows or animation effects.

Stand-by Audio/Audio Pass-through

When the UD740U is in stand-by mode, the built in 10W speaker can still be used by an external device the same as if the projector was on. External speakers can also be connected to the projector via the Audio Out terminal.
