The MR-385T/420T/455T models feature a vegetable crisper with Mitsubishi Electric Vitamin Guard, which combines herbs and negative ions. The negative ions help to eliminate bacteria, absorb unpleasant odours and preserve the flavour of your vegetables. Meanwhile the herb essence, which is made from rosemary, slows down vitamin oxidisation, maintaining the nutritional value of vegetables, and helps them to last longer.
The effectiveness of the Vitamin Guard was tested in Mitsubishi Electric‘s laboratories in Japan. Tests on broccoli found that Vitamin Guard reduced the loss of Vitamin C over seven days to just 7%, compared to a loss of 25% without Mitsubishi Electric‘s Vitamin Guard.
Also new is the Surround Cooling System to evenly distribute airflow throughout the fridge. Air is directed at each shelf from all directions, with six sensors in each compartment to constantly monitor changes in temperature. If the temperature rises, a concentrated blast of cool air restores the correct temperature.
The models also feature built-in ice makers to deliver clean and fresh ice. The entire water system can be removed for easy cleaning and does not need to be plumbed in.
